Dublin city leaders grant development of entertainment districts
If you like going out on the town, you could soon have more options in Dublin.
City leaders gave the green light to three Community Entertainment Districts.
Johnny Kustomo, the head chef at Mr. Sushi, says tonight was the first time he heard of the idea. He says he welcomes growth in the neighborhood. “It’s going to be a good idea to bring more people to this area and bring more diversity and all different cultures,” Kustomo said.
The districts would be located generally within the Bridge Street District. The plan calls for restaurants, retail, and cultural and art-inspired facilities. Jennifer Readler is Dublin’s Assistant Law Director. We’ve had very strong support from the existing restaurants who are interested in these new permits as well as the new development and some of the exciting restaurants that are still yet to come,” Readler said.
