Dublin, OH – Dublin City Council unanimously approved applications for the creation of three Community Entertainment Districts, generally in the Bridge Street District.

A Community Entertainment District is a tool to facilitate the establishment of restaurants, retail and other entertainment/cultural/arts facilities in a defined development or redevelopment area. A community entertainment district also creates a new “pool” of liquor permits that can only be used within the defined area. See areas below.

The three Community Entertainment Districts are defined below:

  • The Scioto North community entertainment district is comprised of approximately 87 acres and is generally bounded by Emerald Parkway on the north, Dale-Tuller Drive on the east, future Bridge Park Avenue on the south and North High Street on the west.
  • The Scioto East community entertainment district is comprised of approximately 91 acres and is generally bounded by future Bridge Park Avenue on the north, Shamrock Boulevard on the east, Stoneridge Lane on the south and Riverside Drive on the west.
  • The Scioto West community entertainment district is comprised of approximately 75 acres and is generally bounded by the future Pedestrian Bridge on the north, future Mooney Street on the east, John Wright Lane on the south and Corbin Mills Drive on the west.

The complete applications are online and also on file with the Clerk of Council’s office at 5200 Emerald Parkway and available for inspection during regular business hours.
